Where it all began

I promised myself I would start this much sooner, documenting my every move and my plans, however, me being me... I clearly didn't.
So here we are, the first few weeks of my experience I will be talking from memory, which actually, may work to an advantage as now I'm here I'm not having mini palpitations every time someone mentions the word 'Thailand' or about me moving away.

Myself and my best friend Jamie, (you will hear about her a lot) were going through the usual process of applying for our PGCEs early 2015, I had been to interviews for my chosen places and somehow ended up gaining a place at Durham Uni... However there was something which I didn't feel entirely comfortable about. Was I ready? Able? Confident enough? I'm not sure, but something wasn't clicking for me. So of course, the natural thing to do is text your best friend and crazily suggest moving to Thailand to teach English, of course. As if that isn't more scary than doing a PGCE!

After too many to count ups, downs and what ifs. Everything was booked and we spent the next five month (ish) planning to upheave our whole lives across the world. Little did we know that those five months would go by so quick and the dreaded 'leaving day' would come so soon.
